“Never playing for a club in another country Nova Iguaçu was an awesome experience. Playing with a variety of players my skills and field awareness improved. The players and coaches are very knowledgeable and are willing to help in any way possible. Training twice a day, improved my playing ability, also being immersed in the culture and playing system was life changing and created a excellent training environment. Nova Iguaçu is a place where players have the opportunity of becoming an awesome person and soccer player.” Kyle De Leon |

"I have been going to Nova Iguaçu F.C. since 2003, a place where I found the perfect combination: great soccer and outstanding people! In the beginning, I was young and scared of going to a new place which I knew very little about. Now, I look forward to returning to Nova Iguaçu, Brazil, a club and country I consider my second home. My game has improved tremendously, my portuguese is fluent, and most importantly, I have learned the beauty of a new culture who is passionate about the greatest game on earth!" IT'S WITH GREAT PLEASURE THAT I RECOMMEND AND ENDORSE THE PROGRAM RICARDO 'RICO' CUNHA HAS WITH NOVA IGUACU F.C. IN RIO DE JANEIRO, BRASIL. I had the pleasure of visiting NIFC, with Rico, in July of 2004. I was very impressed with their facilities as well as the knowledge and professionalism of their coaches and staff. When I was in Rio, I met with Rico and the club President, Janio Moraes, and together they shared the 'long-term' philosophy, goals and objectives of the club. In addition, Nova Iguacu F.C., offers the opportunity for soccer players of all ages to learn, develop, and excel playing this beautiful game in a true and realistic professional soccer club setting. I've known Rico for over 15 years, and have no doubts that any player and or team will benefit greatly by participating in this program under his guidance, and supervision. "You will be amazed by the results, and the learning experience will last a lifetime." “Nova Iguacu F.C. (NIFC) is a Youth Professional Club located in the Beautiful State of
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. My son at 14 years had the opportunity to train with the 91 Brazilian Boys Team for one month. In that time, he had the opportunity to experience a level of play that cannot be matched in the United States. Kyle learned how to play like a professional and be like a professional. I have traveled to the Scandinavia and Europe where we experience both tournament play and visited some of the top youth clubs. At NIFC, I witnessed some of the best youth players in the world. My son trained and played with those players and learned how the Brazilian players train and live. This opportunity was good for his soccer growth and has been a life changing experience for him. As a Board of Director for Cal-South, which is the top state association in the country, I have seen many players and teams at the highest level in theUnited States. Brazil has the highest concentration of talent I have ever seen. NIFC can provide an experience for a American youth that cannot be duplicated in the United States. The players attending this program will train alongside a group of Brazilian Players who are regularly recruited to the top Brazilian Professional Clubs. What I am saying is if you truly want to be the best, you must train with the best and learn how to be the best. NIFC with the immersion experience, is truly the best place to acquire those skills. My son will be returning to NIFC in June, 2006, and will spend four weeks training alongside some of the best youth soccer players in the world. Our hope is that he will continue to grow as a soccer player but also understand what it takes to be a professional. David De Leon Vice President California Youth Soccer Association-South Vice President of Orange Junior Soccer Club 2000-05 |

“I would have to say going to the Brazilian soccer camp was the best experience I have had. I was a little afraid at first going so far away for 3 weeks but everyone at the camp was very friendly. The first couple of days playing against the Brazilian boys was very hard, I had to adjust and push myself to compete with the Brazilian players. They are very good soccer players, fast and physical but this made me work harder to compete and I became a better player. Soccer is their life so they take it very seriously and it shows in the way they play. I learned to play faster and more physical and it gave me more confidence with the ball. I also learned some Protégées which is cool. The camp was in great shape and the food was very good. We played Nintendo and Brazilian Pool at night.” I want to thank everyone especially Rico for making this a great experience. If you like soccer and want to play at a high level, this camp is for you. I promise you will not regret it. I plan on going back next year. Collin Zadra |

“My experience at Nova Iguaçu F.C. camp was unlike any other. Last year I went to Europe on a 3 week trip where I trained and played in tournaments. The training in Europe was nothing like my experience in Brazil. At Nova Iguaçu F.C., I lived and breathed soccer for 3 weeks! Training side by side with Brazilian boys was something I will always remember. I made new friends, and the trip made my interest in soccer even stronger.” Jeffrey Stamp |

“My experience in Brazil at Nova Iguaçu F.C. soccer camp was great! The Brazilians move the ball fast and they are very physical. In Brazil, I increased my speed, skills, shooting technique, and anticipating to the ball. The camp was very cool, the coaches and players at Nova Iguaçu are very nice and friendly. The training routine is very intense, we trained twice a day. The first session is technical and very demanding, now I understand why Brazilians are so good with the ball… then we have a three hour break so we can have lunch and relax. After that we go to the second session which is more scrimmage (game) oriented, lots of fun and hard at the same time. I want to go back to Brazil next year, because it is fun and I already miss my new friends.” Daniel Perez |

“Going to Nova Iguacu F.C. was an experience of a life time for me. The first time I heard about the program I thought it sounded a little intimidating, but after I arrived there, it was amazing. All the trainers at Nova Iguacu push you to your limits and make you become a better player than you thought you could ever be. You feel right at home there and everybody treats you as their family. I am definitely looking forward to going to Nova Iguacu next year and further years to come.” Nick Velasquez |
